REQUIRED

Water bottle (with camper’s name)

Secure footwear (please send your daughter in shoes with a back)

River shoes (not flip flops or crocs) that stay securely on feet with a backstrap or backpanel, e.g. old athletic shoes, “water shoes” with backstrap, etc.

Sunscreen

Towel

Swimsuit

Packed lunch

Tote bag or backpack that your camper can easily carry

Cell phones are NOT ALLOWED.

Theme Days for 2025

These are optional, fun dress up days the Wednesday of each session. We encourage everyone to be creative and silly with your outfits, but please don't feel the need to buy lots of items. Hopefully you already have some fun things around the house she can use. We want these days to be fun and not stressful!

Day Camp Sessions 1 & 2

Wacky Wednesday: deck out in all things wacky! Try a wacky hair style, or wacky socks, or wacky clothes, or wear your bathing suit on the outside of your clothes - get creative, the wackier the better!

Day Camp Sessions 3 & 4

Disney Day: dress as your favorite Disney character! Maybe it’s a princess? Maybe it’s an animal? A hero or a sidekick? Anything Disney goes!!!

Weekend Programs

In the hot summer months, we’re an all-girls camp, but the rest of the year, we offer year ‘round fun at our Great Escapes for women and Mother-Daughter weekends!

Event Rentals

Rocky River Ranch is the perfect solution for your special event! We host family reunions, church retreats, teacher work days, company picnics, Girl Scout groups, and more with lodging for up to 135 guests.

I honestly believe that I wouldn't be the same person if not for my many years at Rocky River, and each year that passes makes me more aware of the grace I found here and the gift of the chance to become one of the few ... a Rocky River girl. To the land of the triple R, I pledge my heart to you!

Rocky River Ranch is like my second home. It is such a comfortable, fun place to be! I am planning to be here as long as possible, and want my future daughters and granddaughters to experience this camp. Rocky River has a special place in my heart, and is a big part of my life.

I love Rocky River Ranch. It was a place I could go and feel accepted for the person I was — not the person I was expected to be. When we passed under that arch, the playing field was leveled and I was free to be myself, or even to reinvent myself! If I could ride, if I could swim, if I could do crafts or even if my only talent was spitting watermelon seeds, I was accepted!

Oh how I wish I could still be a young girl and go to RRR every summer! I truly miss those wonderful weeks of absolute fun and excitement. This camp holds a very special place in my heart and will always throughout my life. I cannot wait until the day that my newborn little girl will be able to drive through the gate and live the summer days that not only her mother lived, but her grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother enjoyed. I cannot wait until the day that I can tell her all about her special great-great-grandmother (we called her GG, but most knew her as Mama Knolk) that opened beautiful Rocky River Ranch and created a place for many girls to create memories from. I am truly happy to see Mama Knolk's spirit still living on. May it continue to live on the dream that she always wanted.

I loved performing on stage and modeling in the fashion show. I learned how to shoot a bow and arrow, and how to do synchronized swimming. I wrote a 'Snoopy' column for the newspaper. In fact, a lot of the things I loved then are things I still love today.
